Leeds City 2 - 0 Woodkirk Wolves

A great performance from the lads today and again the score line flattered the opposition.

For the first time in a while we've played a number of games on the bounce and we're getting good rhythm in our performances.

We started like a house on fire and Zak finished a great team move. The rest of the half we thought it would be fun to miss pretty easy chances.

The start of the second half was Newsome's best in the game. We got the second around 10 minutes in when the brilliant Whelan finished smartly from the edge of the box.

Christy scored a brilliant third after great build up through the thirds, he had the centre half in knots before drilling into the bottom corner.

Whelan got his second and our 4th from a corner. After missing an identical chance in the first half.

The ref then decided to double down on some head scratching decisions. Firstly a foul on Logan from the corner was not given and then the tackle of the season was adjudged to be a foul. The manager nearly got sent off for his reaction to the decision.

Christy went down the other end and hammered home our fifth with a few minutes to go to ensure we took home the three points.

MOM - Tom Whelan, a fantastic midfield performance and two goals to boot. Ran the show and gave a clinic out there.
